Last few weeks, I have been annoyed with ads, and every time I scroll the footer shows where and using what I am searching and "The Search Engine" (you know which one ;) ).
So went on a quest and with few keyboard miles, I found something works well and fits my needs.
Yes, you would have guessed, the DuckDuckGo.
I must say, this is as simple and safe a web search has to be.
Well, how do you know, if it can work every time you search and you are satisfied with your searches.
Like, lot of us do search and research on the Cars and Motorcycles that we wanted to buy and purely go by the experts or friends recommendations and later you figure out this is not the one, since the one you bought, is what you saddle on mostly for your everyday run.
And you wish, you had a full week all mode Test Ride / Drive before making the call.
Well, it was the case with me, and I was lucky to know that there are options, on the most used browsers to choose and test the search engines with really life use.
Here is how, with few steps below, all my installations now run DuckDuckGo as the default.
@Chrome :
From the Address bar type : chrome://settings/
Then :
@Firefox:
From the Address bar type : about:config
Search for : defaultenginename, and enter DuckDuckGo
Other way is to just use the search box to setup DuckDuckGo as your default search.
Great, now, its your turn to see and try with your style and comment.
